The operations/departmental manager is aimed at someone who manages teams and or projects, and would be accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Dependent on the company, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours require to be the same regardless of the role.
Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring. Roles may include Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager and specialist managers.
Having effective and cohesive senior and middle management within any company is the key stone for success. This apprenticeship is paramount for any employer to ensure that the foundations are securely laid.
This apprenticeship will typically take between 24 – 30 months to complete, and apprentices will require to either possess, or must achieve their Level 2 in English and Mathematics prior to taking the end-point assessment.
