Train2Train offer a comprehensive diary of short courses at our training academy at Nostell Priory, Wakefield. Our qualified and experienced trainers host a number of ‘Open Courses’ each month, perfect for companies who simply need small groups of individuals to attend as well as individuals that are wanting to  update or gain a new qualification to upskill in their current role or embark on a new career. Train2Train like to keep groups small which allows us to focus on content and delivery making our sessions personal and relevant.

Compliance Training Instructor

Compliance Training Instructor

This course has been specifically developed for delegates who wish to equip themselves to deliver a range of First Aid, Health & Safety, Food Safety and Fire Safety qualifications. It is recommended to delegates who are looking to deliver both accredited and non-accredited qualifications, either for their own company or on behalf of a training organisation. This course is assessed by delegates undertaking theoretical and practical assessments to demonstrate their competency, this is achieved by compiling a portfolio of evidence and under going multiple choice exams.
First Aid

First Aid at Work Instructor / Assessor (incorporating AET)

This course is recommended for delegates who are looking to deliver accredited and non-accredited first aid qualifications within the private or public sector.This course is assessed by delegates undertaking practical and theoretical assessments to demonstrate competency, evidence is captured through the production of portfolios of evidence.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

This course provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments. The course is progressive by building on each session, introducing new scenarios to test all techniques. This qualification is assessed by ongoing practical demonstrations and a multiple choice examination.

Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

This course is recommended for those wishing to carry out the role of First Aider within the workplace for the purpose of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to competently carry out the role. The qualification is assessed by practical demonstration and a multiple choice examination.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

This course is intended for individuals wishing to become a paediatric first aider in the workplace, with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. The qualification gained is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in industry. This qualification is assessed by ongoing practical demonstrations and a multiple choice examination.

Highfield Level 3 First Aid at Work Re-qualification (RQF)

This 2 day re qualification course is recommended for those who currently hold an in date First Aid at Work certificate and are looking to re-qualify and update their first aid skills. This qualification is assessed by ongoing practical demonstrations and a multiple choice examination.

Highfield Level 2 Award in Customer Service (RQF)

This course covers the principles of customer service, including how to meet customer expectations, the importance of appropriate behaviour and communication techniques, as well as ways to deal with problem customers. This course is suitable for candidates who have a particular customer service or administrative job role and are working in or going to work in a customer service environment.

Highfield Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading Principles (RQF)

The objective of this course and subsequent qualification is to support learners in a team leading role in the workplace. It is aimed at learners who are new to team leading or looking to progress into this type of job role.

Highfield Level 2 Award in Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)

The role of a first aider for mental health is to provide basic mental health support or to be the first response to someone in need, usually in the workplace.

Highfield Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mental Health Awareness (RQF)

The objective of this course is to develop delegates knowledge of mental health. Delegates undertaking this course will develop their underpinning knowledge and understanding in relation to mental health, mental ill health and well being.

Highfield Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF)

This course provides learners with an understanding of the responsibilities of employers; the main causes and costs of work-related fatalities, injuries and ill-health; the role of risk assessment in the prevention of accidents and ill-health; the requirements of a risk assessment; a process for undertaking a risk assessment; and a method to evaluate risk.

Highfield Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety (RQF)

This course is suitable for anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace including managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire. Learners undergoing this course will be taught that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of a fire in any premises.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)

This course is ideal for anyone in a supervisory, team leader or managerial role. Subjects covered include understanding the requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace, the benefits of using a safety management system, the principles of risk assessment, and understanding the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards.

Highfield Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)

This course and subsequent qualification is aimed at supervisors and managers with a direct responsibility for health and safety management. The course is intended for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor or manager and those who are preparing to start work at this level. Delegates gaining this qualification will know that supervisors and managers have legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business and that this includes obligations to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers.

NEBOSH General Certificate and National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management (Combined)

This course is to qualify people in the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. It is an ideal qualification for key personnel who have responsibility for Health and Safety and Fire Safety in the workplace, as well as those wishing to develop in the role of risk management. It provides a valuable overview, and a sound basis for further professional study.

NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management

The aim of this course is to qualify personnel in the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. Managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. This qualification equips holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles.

NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is an ideal qualification for people taking the first steps towards a life long career in occupational safety and health. This course is designed for managers and supervisory staff who have responsibility for ensuring legal compliance in the workplace.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF)

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training has been designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (RQF)

This course and subsequent qualification is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual's work environment. Evidence for Unit 2 learning outcomes are gathered from carrying out assessments in a work environment.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing and Inspection (RQF)

This course is aimed at supervisors, team leaders and line managers working in all sectors of the food industry, with consumer products or in hospitals and other industries where verification, auditing or inspections are undertaken.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Allergen Management in Catering (RQF)

A food allergy results in a person having an atypical response to a particular food. To avoid individuals suffering from these responses, it is essential for all those responsible for the purchase, delivery, production and serving of food in the catering industry to have an excellent knowledge of allergens and their control.

Highfield Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Catering / Manufacturing (RQF)

This course is aimed at individuals responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems and is intended predominantly for delegates already working in catering/manufacturing and who have a sound knowledge of food safety hazards and controls.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering / Manufacturing / Retail (RQF)

The course has been designed for those who operate in a supervisory role in the workplace and who are required to be aware of their responsibilities with regard to food safety. This qualification ensures that supervisors have the confidence to lead by example and encourage good hygiene practices.

Highfield Level 4 Award in HACCP Management (CODEX Principles) (RQF)

This course is aimed at learners who are working at a management level in a catering or manufacturing business, quality assurance staff or members of the HACCP team. It would also be useful for trainers, auditors, enforcers and other food safety professionals. It gives learners the skills to assist in the implementation of a HACCP system, to critically evaluate HACCP plans and to understand the importance of having an effective HACCP system in place.
