Level 3 Unified Communications Technician Apprenticeship: The primary role of the Unified Communications Technician is to establish and maintain communications systems under supervision, using a range of remote and physical tools and equipment.

For employers

The Unified Communications Technician will also deal with routine service requests from internal and external sources including fault rectification across a range of technologies, applying security principles in line with legal and organisational requirements.


The duration of this apprenticeship is typically 24 - 30 months.

Entry requirements

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include 5 GCSE's; other relevant qualifications and experience; or an aptitude test with a focus on IT skills.

Other information

Level 2 English and maths will need to be achieved, if not already, prior to taking the end point assessment.
